Rave reviews after the premiere of "Crippled"
If you like theatre and you like unique stories with strong, well-written, complex and lovable characters then you need to go see “Crippled.”
This play is the narrative that the disability community needs. Lots of plays that deal with disability are definitely written for the able-bodied community, to tell the story of someone with a disability but in that warm and fuzzy way that makes them feel good and comfortable. “Crippled” is not that play. It is unapologetic because it is written around the very important fact that nobody with a disability has to apologize for their body or apologize for taking up space.
And on top of that it is such a vulnerable and beautiful love story. I feel like I’ve just been punched in the feels. Go see this play!
5 stars would watch again a million times.
